Richard H. Thaler is one of the founders of the burgeoning field of behavioral economics as well as its most prominent proponent.  Along with his academic appointment he is the director of the Center for Decision Research at the University of Chicago and has a regular column in the New York Times.

Thaler is the co-author (with Cass R. Sunstein) of the global best seller Nudge in which the concepts of behavioral economics are used to tackle many of society’s major problems.

On March 22, the Prosperity Caucus will team up with America’s Future Foundation to host a debate is the individual health insurance mandate constitutional? at the Americans For Tax Reform headquarters.

In April, the Prosperity Caucus will host Grover Norquist, president of Americans For Tax Reform.

Rory grew up in San Francisco, graduating from Pomona College in 2006 with a B.A. in Philosophy Politics, and economics. He just finished a joint J.D./M.P.P. at Georgetown University. He has worked in a variety of policy capacities since coming to Washington, D.C, including interning for Speaker Nancy Pelosi and at the Federal Legislation and Administrative Clinic at Georgetown Law.

David Barnes

David is a Senior Policy Analyst at e21: Economic Policies for the 21st Century, a new nonpartisan organization dedicated to economic research and innovative public policies. He is also Deputy Director of e21’s ObamaCare Watch project—a website focused on monitoring implementation of President Obama’s newly passed health care law. David was previously Deputy Research Director and Senior Domestic Policy Analyst at the Republican National Committee. Originally from Chicago, he received a B.A. in philosophy from Yale.

Orrin Hatch is the Ranking Republican Member of the Senate Finance Committee, and a former Chair of the Senate Judiciary and HELP committees. He was also key denizen of the supply-side revolution of the 1980s, playing a crucial role in formulating the original 1978 legislation to reduce marginal tax rates to spur economic growth as well as in securing passage of the Kemp-Roth tax cuts in 1981.

Trey Grayson is currently Director of the Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.  Prior to his appointment Mr. Grayson served two terms as Kentucky’s Secretary of State, and he served as President of the National Association of Secretaries of State in 2009-2010.

Secretary Grayson graduated with honors from Harvard College (A.B., Government, 1994) and from the University of Kentucky (J.D. 1998, M.B.A., 1998). Prior to his election, he was an attorney with Greenebaum Doll & McDonald and Keating, Muething & Klekamp.

Dr. Mark J. Perry is a professor of economics and finance in the School of Management at the Flint campus of the University of Michigan. Perry holds two graduate degrees in economics (M.A. and Ph.D.) from George Mason University near Washington, D.C. In addition, he holds an MBA degree in finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Perry is currently on sabbatical from the University of Michigan and is a visitor at The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.
