Jason Furman is the Principal Deputy Director of the National Economic Council and a leading expert on tax policy.  He was previously the director of the Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institute—as well as a professor at New York University and a senior economic advisor in the Clinton Administration.  He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard.
